Brown well water (or brown water) is usually more likely to be dirt or sediment in nature.

Please Note: You can remove iron from water as well as sulfur, manganese, turbidity, chlorine, dirt and many other contaminants from the entire home or house. Also Note: Some assembly is required on most iron filters. Any pH below 7.0 can damage iron filtration equipment and most iron filtration requires an even higher pH.
